At the Kagami Biraki 2019 at the AIKIKAI Hombu Dojo in Tokyo, Jean-Marie Milleville was honoured with the 6th Dan.

He began training 1990 at an Aikido dojo in Alsace.

Very quickly inspired by these two martial arts from Japan, he took part in numerous workshops in France and Germany, he attended numerous seminars in France and Germany. At this time he met Christian Tissier Shihan (8th Dan),  Michel Erb Shihan (7th Dan) and Paul Matthis (6th Dan).

Paul Matthis and Michel Erb quickly became Jean-Marie Milleville’s teachers and he attended many of their seminars.

Another milestone in Jean-Marie’s Aikido and Kenjutsu education was set when he first encountered the internationally recognized Aikido Master Christian Tissier Shihan (8th Dan). Tissier’s instruction had already shaped a generation of remarkably well-trained Aikidokas, as well as experts in Kenjutsu. Jean-Marie sought to still further complete his Aikido and his Kenjutsu by attending workshops taught by Master Saotome (8th Dan).

Jean-Marie works with teachers Michel Erb and Pascal Guillemin 6th Dan, together to teach these two martial arts.

Today Jean-Marie Milleville teaches passionately in his own dojo, AIKIDO & KENJUTSU DOJO SÜDSTERN, in Berlin. He practices an Aikido style that distinguishes itself through movements that are supple, dynamic and technically precise.

In our dojo we practice Kenjutsu 剣術 in the style of Kashima Shinryu 鹿島神流, an ancient traditional Japanese martial art, which focuses on sword techniques (kenjutsu). Our training is mainly in the form of katas.
